Rejoice began over 20 years ago as part of a larger music program in a local church - specifically as an outreach ministry. The group consisted of 10 to 12 congregational members at that time, and has now grown to almost double that. It gradually became apparent that the Lord had plans for us to reach out beyond the walls of our home church... and we evolved into what has been an amazing journey. As director of Rejoice from the beginning - I never would have dreamt of the blessings and experiences we have shared as we carried His message to others. We have seen His hand touch our lives in numerous ways, both personally and as a group. He has faithfully provided for all our needs, and He continues to open doors for us to proclaim the gospel. It has also been a great privilege to see how God has enabled us to support Sue & Chris Ladish (Wycliffe Bible Translators) with the sale of our recordings! We are now an independent interdenominational ministry. Our membership consists of approximately 25 people and it stays around that number. When there is a vacancy, the Lord provides a new voice. The singers come from all parts of the Northwest suburbs of Chicago: Algonquin, Buffalo Grove, Des Plaines, Hawthorn Woods, Huntley, Inverness, Lindenhurst, Mt. Prospect, Mundelein, Oak Park, Palatine, St. Charles, Streamwood, Trout Valley and Wonder Lake. This is truly the Lordīs ministry... only He could have brought us all together! To God be the Glory!
