"From the first words scrawled by Francis Scott Key in the dim post-battle light of 1814, to the valiant struggle of six marines to plant American colors on Iwo Jima, to the empowering sight of New York firefighters raising the stars and stripes against the desolation of September 11th, the American flag has come to symbolize the faith of the American people. Through new and traditional songs, masterful arrangements and orchestrations, and the real-life testimonies of Americans who have fought for and revered our flag and all it represents, it is our hope that this musical might offer continued hope for the journey ahead. For everything is going to be alright. God is in control. And our flag is still flying."
